"Luke chapter 4 verses 18-19 details Jesus’ reading of the prophet Isaiah. In those few verses, Jesus declares the purpose of His ministry. He was and is a bringer of good news, a deliverer, and a healer. Our goal at Cities of Refuge is to act as an extension of His ministry. Each one of our programs (cities) is designed to provide services that address the needs of families. As the events of the last few years have shown, we all need places of refuge and support. Often times the resources that are needed are too far, too few, or too expensive. By providing families with biblically-based resources and services at little to no cost, we hope to equip families and communities with tools that won’t fail.
